Need a Little #ContentFuel? Read “The Content Fuel Framework” by Melanie Deziel!

contentfuel content revival

Today, I just finished reading this wonderful book by Melanie Deziel, “The Content Fuel Framework.” It really opened my eyes on how I’ve had things backwards at times when brainstorming for content ideas. I’ve often found myself putting format ahead of focus, and Melanie is quick to turn that around for us!

This is a very timely book for those of us who need to come up with a ton of content ideas in a hurry! So, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the whys and whats that make this a particularly worthwhile read.

Why did I choose to read “The Content Fuel Framework”?

There are plenty of books out there about content creation, but Melanie Deziel’s book stood out to me for a couple of reasons. First, it was a book written in 2020, in a time that online content creation is at an all-time high, so it’s very timely. But, what really caught my attention, besides the whopping amount of 5-star reviews, was the byline: “How to Generate Unlimited Story Ideas.”

When was this book published?

This wonderful little content creation framework guide was written directly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It was written much in response to how overwhelming coming up with fresh content ideas that also offer an engaging narrative has become. With content creators popping up everywhere, it really was the perfect time for Melanie to drop this, her first, published book. And, she wrote it while pregnant with her daughter, no less!

How the #ContentFuel Framework Works

Without giving too much away, Melanie’s framework takes one idea and allows you to come up with a focus. Then, you take that focus and then figure out ways to apply that focus to different media formats. The ultimate goal is to turn one idea into at least 100. Then, she offers content multipliers to give you 200 or 300 all from a single idea. Essentially, the framework gives you a better, more effective way to brainstorm.

Who is this content strategy book best for?

Really, the book is written for anybody who wants to create content. You can be a complete novice at content creation and easily grasp Melanie’s Framework. Even for those of us who have been at steady content creation for over a decade, it’s a great refresher and certainly opened my eyes to how different focuses and formats can interact in ways I wasn’t considering.

What is special about “The Content Fuel Framework”?

I appreciate the easy-going and intuitive way that Melanie presents her material, along with her humorous footnotes, I might add! It’s easily the best, most accessible guide to a content strategy framework that I’ve ever encountered. It’s also written in such a way as to not become dated too quickly, as many marketing-related books often do.

Where can I find this book?

You can find “The Content Fuel Framework” on Amazon, obviously, as well as many other online locales and bookstores. There’s also a workbook companion that goes with this book available from StoryFuel, which may prove very useful for your own content creation brainstorming efforts!

Suffice it to say, Melanie’s book has given me a lot to think about while engaging in my new foray into content creation coaching!

If you’ve read this book, share with me what you think of the Framework! If you haven’t, I suggest you do. Please let me know what you think!

Stay creative!
